This project envisions a grief and mourning center rooted in Oaxacan culture and Día de los Muertos traditions, where remembrance, artistry, and community intersect. Drawing from ritual practices, handcrafted materials, and shared acts of making, the space is designed to be warm, reflective, and communal. Through art, food, and gathering, the center reimagines grief as a collective and life-affirming process that honors memory while supporting healing year-round. This project and concept were inspired by my past loved ones who I have lost in recent years, and in a way, this project honors them.
