This shot was created as part of a group dialogue project with a sci-fi theme. Our character depicted here, Sergeant Sierra, is tasked with finding a way to extract her comrade's team from a dangerous location on a nearby planet. For this shot, I wanted to convey her annoyance with her dull comrade as well as her deep frustration in not being able to save their team. Our animation team worked over the course of the semester to nail our characters, their relationship, and the context for their situation. Animation is done by me, while lighting and backgrounds were done by my classmates, Tristan Melewicz and Jason Sukiam.
