Infusion is a Tea & Reflection House in Shanghai’s Jing’an District, designed as an urban refuge within a dense commercial context. Rooted in the ritual of tea, the project explores the relationship between the grounded process of steeping and the ephemeral movement of rising steam, expressed through layered terraces and shifting volumes. As visitors move through the space, they transition from the energy of the city into calm, atmospheric interiors shaped by filtered light and natural materials. Drawing from shikumen heritage, a palette of brick, terrazzo, wood, and glass balances permanence and transformation. Infusion reimagines tea as a sensory ritual, where architecture slows perception and creates moments of reflection within the city.
Spanning 32,000 SF, Nothing (R) is a post-pandemic workplace designed to revitalize corporate culture through transparency and human-centered ergonomics. The architecture mirrors the brand’s signature minimalist aesthetic, utilizing glass partitions and a structured grid ceiling to create a sense of exposed, orderly clarity. A central circulation spine anchors the floor plan, seamlessly integrating high-energy social hubs and an all-hands forum with quiet focus pods and design studios. By merging sustainable practices with adaptable planning, the project transforms the "return-to-office" mandate into a purposeful, community-driven experience.
