About Me
Pryvit! I'm Katya Ovsiannikova, a graduating senior in the BFA Animation/Illustration program and an aspiring visual development artist. Growing up in Kyiv, Ukraine, I was deeply influenced by Western animation and video games, which shaped my love for visual storytelling and worldbuilding. While I’ve always been drawn to fairies, mermaids, and princesses, my work portrays a darker, more mythologically inspired side of those worlds, rooted in cultural history. I’m currently pivoting toward the video game industry while continuing to explore feature animation styles. At SJSU, I proudly carry my cultural identity into everything I create.
