For my first semester in my senior animation class, we were all given a random clip of dialogue, with vastly different moods. I was given a more emotional line, so I thought this was a great opportunity to experiment with more subtle animation, where the face does more of the acting rather than the whole body. Before we began our shots, we had to think of a backstory to what may have caused this incident to occur, giving us some subtext to hold onto to make our character acting more authentic. I learned an immense amount after completing this shot, and it makes me so excited to work on more shots in the future that deal with more subtle character animation.
