Initially, "success" was about recognition, stability, degrees, and jobs for me. A semester off in Pakistan immersed in designing outfits reshaped my perspective. For the first time, I felt the fulfillment that stems from actualizing ideas into tangible designs. Returning, I hesitated to pursue SJSU's BFA program, fearing rejection. Encouragement from a mentor spurred me: “If you really want it, you'll make it happen.” With newfound determination, I applied. It wasn't just about wanting it; it was about giving it my all. I've learned to take that step forward, toward actively realizing my version of success.
