Tania Gonzalez Mercado
I am Tania Gonzalez Mercado, a dedicated and passionate interior design student currently pursuing a BFA at San Jose State University, having previously earned two associate degrees in design from Mt. San Antonio College. My design philosophy is deeply rooted in the belief that spaces should go beyond mere aesthetics to positively impact communities and enhance the quality of life for their inhabitants. I approach each project with a focus on concept development, recognizing it as integral to creating spaces with purpose and meaning. I value the power of design to shape the way communities interact and see it as an opportunity to provide meaningful experiences and opportunities through thoughtful design solutions. One of my core principles is the mindful sourcing of materials, considering not just their aesthetic appeal but also their environmental impact and how they contribute to the overall well-being of the community. I believe that a well-designed space should not only be visually pleasing but also enhance the mood and functionality for those who inhabit it.
