“She’s the creative one,” is always how I was referred to. I've always had a deep affinity for getting my hands on something and breathing life into it, whether it be as simple as jewelry-making and knitting to painting murals. To me art was an escape from reality, but design was a confrontation of reality through its necessity of recognizing your viewer’s response and accessibility before anything else. When I first applied for graphic design, in all blunt honesty, I didn't know what I was getting into. I was introduced to a whole new world where aesthetics met functionality and I had to make “art” work for once. Rather than feeling constrained, I found joy in playing with these boundaries.
