Gabriel Pimental

Born in Lima, Peru, and proud of my Guatemalan and Peruvian heritage, I've always been drawn to sketching and creating since childhood. With a background in soft goods and footwear design, I am driven by finding the intersection between innovation and creative self expression. During my second year as an Industrial Design student at San Jose State University (SJSU), I was awarded a one-year rotational apprenticeship with Timberland, Vans, The North Face, and Altra by attending the Pensole Lewis Collage's masterclass, Divercity X Design. Following this, I further developed my skills with Timberland's footwear innovation team (ACE) and studied design in Paris, France at ENSCI - Les Ateliers. I am eager to embark on the next phase of my career, fueled by gratitude for the opportunities I've had and a determination to make a meaningful impact, diversify the industry, and pave the way for others.
